Atheism is, quite simply, the absence of belief in a god or gods. It is not a denial of God’s existence; rather, it is a lack of belief in his or her existence. Atheism is not a religion; it does not have a set of beliefs or practices. Some atheists may live their lives in accordance with certain ethical principles, but this is not a requirement of atheism.

There are, however, some common themes among atheists. Many atheists believe that religion is a man-made construct, created to control and manipulate people. They may also believe that religious faith is dangerous, leading to fanaticism and violence. Others argue that atheism is the only logical conclusion in an age of science and reason. In short, atheism is a lack of belief in God or gods. It is not a positive belief system; rather, it is the absence of such beliefs.
